Change of status of the land in Natura 2000 and the Black Sea will be banned
Change the status of the land in the Natura 2000 and located near the Black Sea coast will be banned as recorded in the text of the draft new Law for Forests, agreed at a meeting of the Council of Ministers, said Minister of Agriculture Miroslav Naydenov.
According to him, the forests in these areas will remain so even if they are owned by private individuals.
An exception from this rule can beallowed only when a site is necessary for the construction of infrastructure by the state and the municipalities.
Moreover, even where in principle can be performed change of status, the governmental fees will be increased 6-10 times compared to the current ones.
The new law creates the possibility for national parks in some cases to be managed by municipalities, said Naidenov. This could happen when the natural park is located entirely within a municipality and it has the resources to manage the park, as the final decision is taken by the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry.
