Bulgarian property recommendation letters

Denise and I would like to thank you, and your team, for all your help (and patience) during and after our recent purchase of the property in Konstantinovo. Please feel free to post the following as testimonial to the professionalism of your company and, if required, please provide my e-mail address to any potential client who wishes to correspond for clarification or advice.

My wife Denise and I were looking for a property in Bulgaria but did not have a clue where to start. We travelled to Bourgas after making an appointment to meet a local estate agent and we spent several days looking at various properties and were charged a mileage fee for this “service”.

After seeing quite a few Bulgarian properties we were starting to feel that this may not be the option for us as we did not want an apartment or a badly run down property in need of complete renovation.

After another long hot day travelling around the countryside where we saw four unsuitable properties we eventually sat in the main café area of Bourgas and had a well deserved drink.
We saw a sign for British Developments and went in with the thought that it could do no harm to look.
This proved to be the best move we made all week .We were totally bowled over by the professionalism and the high standards of service provided by Pej and his team. We explained exactly what we were looking for and we were put in contact with, and eventually introduced to, a local Bulgarian builder who was in the process of building a new property in Bulgaria in the lovely area called Konstantinovo which British Developments were marketing.

My wife and I fell in love with the place but were concerned about all the paperwork and administration involved in the potential purchase. We thought we would have to travel backwards and forwards from Wales to Bulgaria to get things done but we needn’t have worried, Pej and his team had all the documentation taken care of within a couple of days and Stella, a local solicitor, arranged the various appointments with local officials and documentation was all prepared for us to complete.

All in all, this was a relatively painless and stress free experience. We now have our home in Bulgaria and look forward to using it at every opportunity until the time that we can settle down there for good.

Good afternoon to all at British Developments.

I would like to express my thanks to all at the Bourgas office for there advise , support & guidance in the purchase of our property in Sozopol Paradise Bay. We first visited back in May 2006 on a viewing trip. From the time we arrived we where well looked after. The visits went really well and the time and advise given was excellent. So much so we felt it right to proceed with a purchase off plan. This we did and during the time it took to build we had regular up dates of process reports with photo's. I can honestly say that British Developments took away a lot of the stress and worry on our behalf.

I must pay special thanks to a number of staff who have been of great help and support in the whole process and transaction from May 2006 and to our most recent visit September 2007 to sign off and take ownership of our new apartment. Zuzi ( trust me she said) Katya , Marcus & Vladimir who unfortunately has since left but was a great help.

after the preliminary contract of my first (yes, it's just the first!) apartment in the wonderful Black Sea Coast, I want to congratulate you and all your staff for the great result.
But I can not do it without remember the way we met about 6 month ago it was a rainy saturday evening... one of the last evening of my very first journey in Bulgaria and after a long walk, stopping to relax a while, I was attracted by the sign of your offices!
May be because I am Italian & I just knew three words in Bulgarian language, so your sign was so close to the language I knew that I decided to go in. Curiosity pushed me, but also if it was saturday evening you spent a couple hours not just trying to "sell" me, but really enlightening me about developments in that area. Incredible! I was there to ask some questions and I received a free lesson of international economy and real estate developments!

So I came back with a relative, we visited other agencies but they all were so different by what & who impressed me in my first journey! And now, we both are making business with you!

I was introduced to British Developments through a close friend who had visited Bulgaria with the intention of buying property in the Black Sea area. Travelling with my friend on a further trip to explore the area we were warmly greeted by the British Developments team, who also arranged hotel accommodation for us. The family business is led by Pejman, his wife, and supported by an enthusiastic multi-skilled team of young professionals.

In the first two days we were driven around to get a feel for the area. Initially I was unsure what to invest in, as a number of options were presented to me. I could invest off plan for rental income and a potential capital gain or buy a piece of land. We viewed land and properties in a number of locations. British Developments personal guidance helped me to identify my investment priority, and eventually I decided on a villa as a second home for family holidays with potential rental income.
After deciding to proceed with a purchase, the British Development team kicked into action. In addition to arranging the viewings and negotiations with the vendors, they offered me professional assistant from their in house legal service to open bank accounts and registered a company in our name, which is a requirement for purchasing a freehold property in Bulgaria under their current legislation.
British Developments also accepted my power of attorney to conclude the purchase agreement etc. in my absence.
Since my return to the UK, I have been in regular contact with them by email, they arranged for me the certified translation of all key documents, and organised professional survey and valuation of our chosen property.
Since the conclusion of the purchase they have arranged for the building insurance and prepared for me a rental agreement. I have found the British Developments agency professional, efficient, friendly and helpful at all times.
I do not believe it would have been possible for us to undertake this transaction effectively without their involvement and guidance.

As you are probably aware we met and interviewed several lawyers, estate and property managers etc during our visit to Burgas. I have already contacted Lina, please see the attached email which is self explanatory. As you will see the choice of lawyer came down to just two, One of the reasons the decision was made for the alternative was based on a communication advantage with the other lawyer speaking and writing excellent English and having the added advantage of a Norwegian colleague who also spoke fluent Bulgarian.

However, we were all impressed by your professionalism, your obvious contacts and experience in property matters and once we have dealt with the legal and political issues we face at Prostor, we hope to be able to do business with you in the future. On this point and with your permission we would like to keep your details on file. We would also wish to make known to our new lawyer, the contacts and service you are able to provide and instruct her to make contact with you on our behalf should the need arise.
