The small town of Aheloy is situated only 20 minutes from Bourgas and International airport in Bulgaria. The location on the main road from Bourgas to Sunny Beach makes the town a preferred place for  holiday or buying a property in Aheloy, Bulgaria. Its close proximity to Nessebar , an ancient town with a lot of archeological monuments, and Pomorie, also an ancient town , famous with the spa centers, vine growing and a Thracian tomb, makes the town even more preferable. There are a lot of restaurants, snack bars and off-road caravans with snacks, beer and soft drinks abound the town and along the Aheloy beach. The Aheloy river which passes through the town gives the opportunity for spending a day out fishing or making a picnic.
There are regular bus connection to Bourgas, Sunny Beach and Ravda.
